Four Years of Wedding Invitations: The Modern Paperie Co. Story

Four years ago, I designed my very first wedding invitation. And to be completely honest… it wasn’t very good. But that moment marked the beginning of something bigger than I ever imagined — the start of Modern Paperie Co.’s journey into weddings.

When I first opened my Zazzle store in 2020, I specialized in professional print-on-demand products for small businesses. But in September 2021, everything changed. I created my first wedding invitation, and even though it wasn’t perfect, it sparked a passion for weddings that quickly grew into the heart of my business. 

From First Design to Featured Invitations

Determined to improve, I immersed myself in the world of weddings. I studied trends, color palettes, and styles that couples loved. I wanted every design to feel modern, timeless, and reflective of the unique love story it represented.

In April 2022, that work paid off. Zazzle recognized one of my wedding invitations for its unique design and invited me to build a full collection to feature on their homepage. From there, Modern Paperie Co. wedding invitations started appearing in product highlights and even wedding email features.

Growth, Recognition, and $250,000 in Sales

As couples began choosing my designs for their big days, my shop grew. I advanced quickly through Zazzle’s Pro program — from Bronze to Silver to Gold — and in July 2025, I was honored to receive the Pro Platinum Badge for surpassing $250,000 in sales.

That milestone isn’t just about numbers; it represents thousands of couples who trusted me with one of the most meaningful parts of their wedding journey. From romantic florals to modern minimalism, each suite tells a story — and I’m so grateful to be part of it.

While wedding invitations are now a cornerstone of Modern Paperie Co., I still design invitations for life’s many celebrations — birthdays, baby showers, and holidays. Every invitation is crafted with care, creativity, and a focus on making your event feel unforgettable.

And for couples planning their big day locally, I also offer day-of wedding stationery in the Philadelphia and Burlington County, NJ area. From wedding menus and programs to signage and seating charts, I create cohesive designs that bring your vision to life on the day it matters most.
